First Appearance:
Episode 001: Diamond Ray of Disappearance
Held by Skeletor at the beginning of the episode, the Diamond Ray is heralded as the latest and greatest weapon against the forces of Eternia. The Diamond is contained in a small box, presumably made of metal. It is said by Skeletor that any who look at the Diamond will vanish, but later He-Man holds the Diamond in his grip. He-Man does not look at the Diamond, but still begins to disappear. Thus it is assumed that any contact with the Diamond's beam for more than a few seconds will cause the vanishing effect.
The Diamond emits an energy beam, which can be focused on a single enemy or a large group. It is later discovered that the victims do not simply "vanish," but are actually teleported to a "timeless dimension." Skeletor says He-Man is too far away to use the Diamond Ray at one point, indicating the beam has a maximum range.
The Diamond's first appearance is also it's last, since it is destroyed when He-Man crushes it in his hands. It's destruction causes all who were vanished to return to Eternia.
