The mystical Sword of Power is the tool used to channel the powers of Castle Grayskull into Prince Adam, changing he and Cringer into He-Man and Battle Cat. The sword is well-known throughout Eternia, as it is recognized in a moment by most characters as the Sword of Power. Adam hides it behind his back with some mysterious "sword hiding" power. He-Man can, and has, lost the sword on numerous occasions, but kept the powers of He-Man. It is unclear whether he needs the sword to change back into Adam, however. Other characters have held the sword, but none have attempted the Grayskull Transformation. This may be due to the fact that only those who know Adam's secret have knowledge that the transformation even occurs at all. It would be interesting to see other characters with the Powers of Grayskull, though.
